Values in Art 2013 - Painting Day

Painting day, the traditional final day of the Values in Art journey for our pupils went smoothly with the pupils enjoying the company of their classmates and teachers in depicting the school values in works of acrylic art.

Sengkang West National Day Celebrations - August 2012

After months of preparation and many late evening meetings, Pei Hwa's students putting up a series of performances to entertain our residents and community leaders. Heading the preparations were Mr Kevin Chong, teacher-in-charge of the choir, Mr Daniel Beng, Teacher-in-charge of the school band and AEP coordinator , Miss Derlynn Chng, IC for Wushu and Mr Daniel Lim, HOD Character Education and Community Engagement.
Showing fantastic school spirit, our ex-students came back to support our pupils. Even the Emcee for the evening was our pupil from our 1st batch of students.

On duty that balmy evening was Mr Daniel Beng, Mr Jamal, Mr Kevin Chong, Mr Raghu , Miss Grace Tan and Mr Daniel Lim. Thanks also to our resident photograher Roger Chia for the wonderful photos and Mr Joel Neo for swinging by to support the event.

Our Principal, Mrs Lim, was one of the invited VIP guests.

For this and our long-standing community engagement efforts, the school was presented with the "Friends of Sengkang West" Award for 2012. :-)

First-ever in-house developed anti-bullying play by LDDS

The Character Education and Community Engagement Department commissioned the first-ever in-house play for anti-bullying in August. Playing in front of packed hall during assembly, our LDDS sent the message that bullying is a clear and present danger facing our pupils which can be addressed with the correct values and skills.

The department would like to thank all LDDS pupil performers and their teacher, Mr Kenneth Tan and Miss Kanchana.

Driving Change in Singapore CIP briefing cum Nasi Lemak breakfast with parents 13 Oct 2012

On the 13 Oct, invited parents and their children and grandchildren from Pei Hwa met at Pei Hwa's library to listen to a briefing on the Community Engagement program Driving Change in SG supported by the People's Association and Caltex Chevron. Pei Hwa was invited to be part of this program through the grassroots organisations.

Parents also got the chance to meet with staff involved and also members of the PSG Exco while partaking in a sumptous Nasi Lemak Breakfast. This simple event also brought together parents and their children for some bonding time.

MOE Edusave Character Awards Interview 1st Sitting on 3 Oct

The Character Education Department of Pei Hwa Secondary led by Mr Daniel Lim, HOD, working with Mr Raghu of the CE team organised Phase III of the MOE ECHA selection process - the selection pane interviews.Besides the school leaders, members of the PSG and SAC also sat on the panel to ensure its rigor and transparency.

The next and final interview sitting will be done on 17th Oct.
