Victorian Essential Learning Standards

Recognising that information literacy – the ability to
source and evaluate and use information – is an essential
part of all areas of the curriculum, learning methods and
technologies are incorporated into every learning area.
The curriculum promotes a problem-solving approach,
with girls encouraged to take responsibility for their own
learning.

The college curriculum covers all Victorian
Essential Learning Standards (VELS) as
recommended by the Victorian government:
physical, personal and social learning;
discipline-based learning; the arts,
English, humanities, languages other than
English (LOTE); mathematics and science;
interdisciplinary learning; communication,
design, creativity and technology,
information and communication technology
and thinking processes.
